A young girl apparently received a 500,000 naira notice from her lover to make another batch of noodles after the previous one burned. The youngster turned to social media to post a WhatsApp chat she had with her boyfriend. He’d asked her what she wanted for supper, and she’d said she had no clue and had tried making noodles in the morning. She then told him that the noodles had burned while she was on the phone. The lover instantly credited her with 500,000 naira and instructed her to prepare another one for herself.

LASU Senate Building destroyed by fire.
On Friday, December 9, a fire broke out at the Lagos State University (LASU) campus in Ojo, Lagos. The fire, which was sparked by a power surge, affected seven workplaces. Internal Audit Directorate, Bursar’s Office, Risk Insurance & Investment, Bursar Mini Registry & Reception, Payroll & Pension Unit, Budget & Budgetary Control, and Deputy Director Office were all impacted. According to a preliminary report from the state emergency management agency (LASEMA), the fire started in the Directorate of Internal Audit (Property management unit) office on the 4th Floor of the building. Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, Permanent Secretary of LASEMA, stated that while no lives were lost, the Directorate office was severely damaged by the fire. “The fire damage has expanded to parts of the ceiling claddings,” Oke-Osanyintolu said.
